We are fans of Misty May-Treanor not only because she is a three-time Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist, a constant smiler, a self-proclaimed animal lover, food enthusiast and Special Olympics supporter, but also because she is married to former-Florida Marlins catcher Matt Treanor. We are so happy to hear that the very athletic couple are expecting their first child in the summer.The 36-year-old Olympian said ”Matt and I are overjoyed and excited about the journey before us.”
May-Treanor announced her retirement and plans to start a family last summer after her third Olympic gold medal win with Kerri Walsh Jennings. Walsh Jennings, who has three children, is aiming for a fourth straight Olympic beach volleyball gold medal with her new partner April Ross.
