In an awards-season push, Open Road Films will nationally re-release Chef directed by and starring Jon Favreau for the Labor Day weekend run. We loved this under-publicized and under-estimated comedy and hope that it gets a Golden Globe nom for Best Comedy/Musical, surely to be of help is the incentive of free admission to members of the Hollywood Foreign Press, the Movie Academy, ACE, ADG, ASC, BAFTA, CAS, DGA, MPEG, MPSE, PGA, WGA and the SAG nominating committees.
In case you missed it, Chef stars Jon Favreau as an LA chef in a bad spot who launches a food truck in Miami. Other co-stars you may have heard of: Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson, John Leguizamo, Bobby Cannavale, Dustin Hoffman, Oliver Platt, Amy Sedaris, Robert Downey Jr. and Emjay Anthony.
