Will Judd Apatow stand by his pal Jen Aniston?

We are ‘Team Aniston‘ in the Pitt-Jolie cheating mess…  And we hope (but are losing some of that optimism) that Judd Apatow stays loyal too!

Recently, Brad Pitt announced that he would like to return to big screen comedy, and he wants in on Judd Apatow’s next blockbuster.  According to a source, Pitt ”avoided doing comedies for several years but that’s going to change soon. He’s been making moves to butter up to Judd, someone he’s known for more than 15 years.”

However, Apatow was firmly on her Jennifer Aniston’s team too during the worst days of the divorce but a source says, ”This all puts Judd in a tricky spot because of his longtime friend Jen, but the divorce was a long time ago and Judd is very interested in writing and directing Brad.  He is going to do his best to make something work in the coming months.”

Come on Judd, there are tons of actors who are more talented, better looking and not cheaters (and they will bring in even more $$$)!  Stand by your friends…

We surely hope 5 year-old Jackson James teaches 18 month old Etta Jones about being an older sibling.

Victoria Beckham, with her husband David, wore this business casual look while she visited her new shop in London’s Dover Street.

The singer and fashion icon, 39, turned heads in an effortlessly chic ensemble of wide-legged pale blue Chloé trousers ($995) from the Resort 2014 collection, which she paired with a simple white T-shirt.

The loose tailored trousers flattered Victoria’s slim frame, but could have used a little more hemming as they seemed a little long in the leg and skimmed the pavement as she walked.  Still, we love the look with her long hair swept over one shoulder and aviator shades to complete her casual look.

Apple and Comcast Talking, Where is Netflix in this?

Apple and Comcast, the nation’s largest cable provider, are in talks about a streaming-TV service that would use an Apple set-top box (Apple TV) and try to bypass congestion on the Web.

Meanwhile, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings is not as happy about the prospect of more deals like its February deal with Comcast for direct access to its network servers.  In a blog post, Hastings calls for the strengthening of net neutrality, and objects to ISPs “charging a toll” for interconnection to services.  ”While in the short term Netflix will in cases reluctantly pay large ISPs to ensure a high quality member experience,” says Hastings, “we will continue to fight for the Internet the world needs and deserves.”

To tie this all together for you, we stream Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black and House of Cards on our Apple TV through our Comcast hookup.

Celebrate We Will... Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Expecting!

We are very excited for the former That 70s Show stars, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, though Demi Moore may disagree…

The twosome recently announced their engagement and now word is out that they are expecting!  We had heard that they were not ‘not trying’ and both looked forward to having kids and becoming a family. We are happy to hear these thirty-somethings have reunited, this time in real life, to live the happily ever after.

Will Brian Atwood walk on?

Could there be a run on Atwood Maniacs?  Is Brian Atwood the next designer to close up?

The shoe designer’s Madison Avenue boutique, which opened in 2012, has suddenly closed.  No definitive future plans have been shared.  The store could reopen or never again…

Atwood’s parent company, the Jones Group, was under pressure to divest underperforming ventures before closing the deal to be acquired by financial firm Sycamore Partners.

Last week, Jones Group shutdown Rachel Roy’s clothing line, in which it had a 50 percent stake.

CBS Renews 18 Primetime Shows!!

20 returning series, with 18 primetime show renewals!

“The best way to launch new shows in the fall and throughout the season is to surround them with a strong and stable lineup of successful series,” said Chairman of CBS Entertainment, Nina Tassler.

Multi-Year Renewals went to The Big Bang Theory (3 seasons) and Survivor (2 seasons).

Other Pickups include, Dramas – The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and Person of Interest; Comedies - 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, The Millers, Mom and Two and a Half Men; Reality series - The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss; and News shows - 60 Minutes and 48 Hours.

Still waiting for their fate are freshman series Hostages, Intelligence and The Crazy Ones.

Newlyweds actress Stacy Keibler and entrepreneur Jared Pobre have a lot to celebrate as they are said to be expecting!

I guess this puts Stacy on ‘bump watch.’  We look forward to seeing her pregnancy fashion choices.  Congratulations to the happy newly-married couple.  (We do not have to say it, but we doubt her ex-George Clooney is still crying over her but this news will certainly help him put the Puffs down.)

Pretty Woman the Broadway Musical!

The unforgettable 1990 film Pretty Woman that brought Julia Roberts to stardom is heading to Broadway as a musical!  The movie’s director Garry Marshall and screenwriter JF Lawton are writing the book that will surely bring a new fresh face to the spotlight.  Marshall is currently in NY with producer Paula Wagner to meet with composers, lyricists and directors to make the project happen

We know the first person in line to get tickets to the show will be our brother!

Somehow overlooked by the media, Tom Bergeron announced that he would be leaving ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos after its next season.  The departure of Bergeron, also ABC’s Dancing with the Stars host, does not bring the end of the show.  Not lost on us, the importance being given to Twitter by ABC hosts in announcing their moves (i.e. Brooke Burke‘s Dancing with the Stars departure announcement).

In a quiet private wedding at The Biltmore in Coral Gables, NFL quarterback Brady Quinn and Olympic Gold Medal winning gymnast Alicia Sacramone married.

After six years of dating, the athletic couple, who confirmed their engagement last summer, married in lace and a grey suit with black bow tie.

While the honeymooners are off in the South of France enjoying their first days as a married couple, these two smiley photos have leaked on Tumblr and Facebook.

On her promo tour, Lea Michele was signing copies of her new album Louder at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in LA in a cute black-and-white Suno Spring 2014 romper with short sleeves and a v-neck with silver Rupert Sanderson sandals.

We love her fresh romper look, but wish Lea Michele would have worn different shoes (maybe the Manolo Blahnik Chaos or Stuart Weitzman Nudist).

New Yorker Katie Holmes to play TV NYer

True to her word, Katie Holmes is focusing on her acting career (since closing down her fashion line Holmes & Yang) by returning to TV in her first starring role since Dawson’s Creek.  

The New Yorker will play an “Aubrey Hepburn-esque” NYC socialite in a yet-to-be titled ABC drama which will follow the rivalry between two influential and manipulative Manhattan women, written and executive produced by director Richard LaGravenese of Beautiful Creatures.

TV and Film is back in NYC!

New York is benefiting from Governor Andrew Cuomo's support of the entertainment industry while California is hurting from Governor Jerry Brown's indecisive stance.

While Gov. Brown is still “not committed” to expanding California's film and television tax credit, Los Angeles may be experiencing an all-time low with the most recent drop in broadcast pilot production.

On the other side of the country, Big Apple is celebrating the return of The Tonight Show as well as resurfacing as the most popular drama production location and a rise in comedy production. A record 15 pilots will film in New York this year and Disney and Marvel have commited to film approx. 60 episodes of Marvel’s four Netflix series and a miniseries in New York City.

Less we forget, four years ago, before NY implemented its aggressive tax break program, there was no NY-based production demonstrating how the studios would not be able to have a New York prescence had the tax incentives not been strong enough, especially the expensive single-camera format.

Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang, co-founders of fashion label Holmes & Yang, have ended their five-year partnership.

The winding down of the partnership was due to differences between Katie and Jeanne,  ’They have different approaches to absolutely everything: how to run the company, how to promote it and how to handle the press,’ the source noted. ‘It is much better that they go their separate ways now.’Holmes & Yang was formed in 2008 after an introduction of the stylist to Holmes by her ex-husband Tom Cruise, launched in 2009 and made its New York Fashion Week debut in September 2012 in an intimate presentation with a showing of their spring 2013 collection.  At the  time, Holmes described the line in the days before her first show, “We try to do a touch of rock ‘n’ roll with our stuff, but keep it very classic.”  Stockists including Barneys and Harvey Nichols no longer carry the label.

Holmes, who very happily lives in New York raising her daughter Suri, has recently been focusing on rebuilding her acting career – from which she had taken a hiatus since giving birth in 2006 – selecting films and theatre work in New York.  She has just wrapped filming The Giver, opposite Meryl Streep, and has three more film roles lined up for 2014, Responsible Adults, Mania Days and Miss Meadows.

Admittedly, we are not impressed with her Tiffany sparkers, we wish she would have done more.  her earrings needed to be more sparkly and less reminiscent of native Mexican local art.  Still, her gown and statuesque look, get our raves.

3-times Winner, 18-times Nominee, Meryl Streep, walks the red carpet of the Oscars as though she is walking up her home’s driveway.  2014 Best Actress Nominee for August: Osage County looks elegant in this two-toned cream top with a dipped shoulder and jewel-belted black skirt Lanvin gown accessorized with perfect simple diamond and pearl earrings.

Generally, we would say she dressed and looked age-appropriate but here, her looks are deceiving to her 64 years.
